There are no residential city lots available in Moose Jaw thanks to a stunning third quarter that saw over 100 sales.

To call it brisk would be an understatement.

Third quarter land sales for the City of Moose Jaw were simply amazing as City Hall sold all remaining residential lots, bringing the 2007 total to 188 lots.

City Clerk Steven Schiefner explains 104 lots were sold in the third quarter alone.

"It looks like there's a number of things. Moose Jaw is just catching up with the rest of the provinces, which is catching up with Alberta. Our lots and our housing prices look cheap and I think there's going to be, and Canada Mortgage and Housing thinks, there's going to be another 24 to 36 months of busy activity and we should see a boom this summer."

City Hall is working on a new subdivision in the north west area of the city, but that won't be online for another year and a half. So until then, focus has shifted to South Hill at the end of 16th Avenue SW.

To put this all into perspective, normally in a year City Hall sells about 70 residential lots.
