It wasn't the weekend the Moose Jaw Warriors would've hoped for, as they were only able to snag one point from a two-game road series in Winnipeg against the ICE. On Saturday, they came back from a two-goal third-period deficit but eventually lost 3-2 in a shootout. It was a different story on Sunday evening, as the ICE exploded for four goals in the second period en route to a 6-0 win over the Warriors.

Moose Jaw will get the week off and then will be back on home ice this weekend, as they welcome the Brandon Wheat Kings on Friday night and then the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday. Both games will be at 7:00 p.m. and can be heard on Country 100.

The Moose Jaw WINMAR AAA Warriors will be back at the Moose Jaw Events Centre on Wednesday when they welcome the third-place Swift Current Legionnaires at 7:00 p.m.

It was a tough 4-3 overtime loss for the Moose Jaw U18 AA Warriors on Saturday on the road against the Lumsden/Bethune Lions. They are back in action tonight in Regina, as they take on the Rangers at 8:15 p.m.

The U15 B Moose Jaw Thrashers walked away with some hardware this past weekend. The Thrashers came back from a two-goal deficit to beat the Regina Cougars on Sunday to claim the C-side championship in their home tournament.

Only one Canadian team was in action on Sunday, the Winnipeg Jets got past Philadelphia 5-3 on the road.

And in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs this past weekend, Kansas City beat Jacksonville 27-20, the Eagles thumped the New York Giants 38-7, Cincinnati took down Buffalo 27-10, and the 49ers snuck by Dallas 19-12.
