The Moose Jaw U15 AA Warriors kick off their first round of playoffs tonight, for the first time in 6 years. The Warriors will head to Regina to take on the Aces at 7:45 pm, and then they'll host Game 2 at 7 pm on Friday night, at the Pla-Mor Palace.

The Moose Jaw WINMAR AAA Warriors scored five unanswered goals in their matchup against the Contacts last night. The Warrior's 5-2 win puts them ahead, 2-1, in this first-round playoff matchup. They'll look to finish off the series at 7 pm on Thursday night, at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

Moving onto the Western Hockey League's Moose Jaw Warriors, they're getting ready for their weekend home-and-home series against the Swift Current Broncos. The first half of the series starts on Friday night in Swift Current. 

The Central Cyclones senior girls' basketball team came out victorious in their first round of playoffs last night. They beat Assiniboia, 59-31, and will now play Peacock in the semi-final tomorrow night at 6:20, at Peacock.

The high school junior basketball finals take place tonight. In the junior girls final Peacock hosts Vanier at 6:20. For junior boys, Central Red welcomes Peacock at 8 pm, and for junior varsity boys, Cornerstone Christian School/Riverview plays Assiniboia at Riverview starting at 6:20 pm. Admission for adults is $5, high school students are $3. Elementary and under are free.

Only 3 Canadian teams played in the NHL last night. Toronto beat the devils, 4-3, Carolina beat Montreal, 4-3, in a shootout, and Calgary edged Minnesota, 1-0, also in a shootout.

Last but not least, the Toronto Blue Jays fell short, 7-2, to the Pittsburgh Pirates last night. The Jays continue their spring training with a matchup against the Twins today, at noon.
