Part of the magic of Christmas is the look on children's faces Christmas morning as they rush to the tree to see what Santa brought them.  Some kids in Moose Jaw don't get to experience that thrill because of economic circumstance, and that is where the Salvation Army steps in with Toy Days.

Major Dan Broom is with the Salvation Army and he explains that the need is real.  "We are always in need of toys at Christmas.  Times are changing and sometimes it's very difficult to get kids what they want without these toy drives.  We're looking for toys from baby age to 13 or 14 years old, were looking for toys and gifts".

There is a particular need for presents to give to kids who are a little older.  "It's a hard age group to shop for" explains Major Broom. "They want bigger and better, but we do the best we can to provide a good Christmas for the young people".  Gift cards are often a good fit for this age group.

Friday and Saturday December 9th and 10th, CHAB, Country 100 and Mix 103 will be set up along with the Salvation Army at Canadian Tire in Moose Jaw with a special toy collection location.  Moose Javians are asked to bring donations of new unwrapped toys, and the Salvation Army will make sure they get to the kids who need them this Christmas.  The Toy Days Drive will be broadcast live on all 3 stations over the two days.
