Councillor Dawn Luhning attempts to put the spurs to the multiplex project in Moose Jaw with a Notice of Motion Monday.

Let’s get to work!

That essential was the motion Councillor Dawn Luhning gave notice to Monday night at Moose Jaw City Hall as she tries to push her fellow councillors forward on the multiplex project.

Councillor Luhning has showed frustration over the past several weeks, as council has not yet made a decision on location or even what the project will be. "We're already into the beginning of construction season and if we don't decide something very quickly we might miss next year's construction season. I feel that we've been waiting on the federal budget, its been dropped so lets figure out what it (the project) is and lets go. We need to decide."

Luhning's motion that she plans to introduce next week requires council to have some sort of planning meeting by the middle of April. Council is in tough right now as they have to have an application into the provincial government by April 30th for funding, but we won't find out if we get federal funding for another 4-6 weeks.
