The trial of Kim Walker, the man accused of killing former Moose Jaw resident James Hayward, will be left in the hands of a jury Wednesday.

It's all in the hands of the jury.

Final instructions are expected Wednesday morning in the first-degree murder trial of Kim Walker. The man accused of killing his daughter's drug dealing boyfriend in Yorkton.

Walker admits to killing James Hayward, a former Moose Jaw resident, in March 2003 but says he didn't mean to.

Testimony revealed Walker went to a known drug house in Yorkton the day of the shooting with 30 rounds of ammunition and a handgun. After that Walker claims he can't remember anything that happened. Witnesses say Walker gunned down Hayward with a .22 cal pistol.

Walker's daughter was dating Hayward at the time of the shooting after being released from hospital for morphine addiction. Hayward was a known drug dealer in the Yorkton area.

The judge in the case will give her instructions to the jury Wednesday morning and then the future of Walker is in their hands.
