With the Moose Jaw Warriors playing in a hub city in Regina this season, the Warriors Booster Club had to find a different way to do their Co-op 50/50 draws.

Beginning last week, the Booster Club is doing weekly draws starting at noon each Monday and ending at 9 a.m. the following Monday. The 50/50 will run up until the week of April 26 to May 3.

“A lot of it is just getting the word out there. We haven't done much advertising other than Facebook and word-of-mouth, but I think the jackpot was $3,735 for last week and it's still yet to be claimed by someone,” said Booster Club president Randy Nesvold.

The unclaimed ticket is number A-3675224. Any update on 50/50 numbers can be found here.

Instead of buying tickets from in-game hosts, Nesvold explained how tickets can be bought.

“We have a tablet that's in the Warrior office, so you are able to purchase a walk-up ticket and we have the online option as well now which is really good in helping the team out with getting some necessary funds to keep them afloat,” he said.

Online tickets can be purchased from the Moose Jaw Warriors website or mjwarriors5050.ca

Tickets are one for $5, five for $10, 15 for $20 and 50 for $50.

The winners take home half of the jackpot, while the other half goes towards the Warriors education fund and expenses itemized by the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority that the Booster Club can pay for on behalf of the hockey club.
