The Moose Jaw Warriors currently have 25 players in the East Division HUB in Regina preparing for the start of the 2020 – 2021 season.

There are 14 returning Warriors from last season, two players who played in the league last year but are new to the team, there are eight first-year Warriors and one affiliated player.

Among the 14 returning players are newly appointed Captain Daemon Hunt, 20-year-old Tate Popple who is the longest-serving current Warrior, as well as last season’s scoring leader Ryder Korczak.

New 20-year-old forwards Brad Ginnell and Riley Krane will be making their Warrior debuts.  Ginnell spent last year with Spokane while Krane played for the Regina Pats.

Forwards Atley Calvert, Josh Hoekstra, Riley Niven, and Jagger Firkus, defencemen Lucas Brenton, Denton Mateychuk, and Max Wanner, and goaltender Brett Mirwald are in their rookie campaigns.  Six of the eight players made their WHL debuts last year (Calvert, Hoekstra, Firkus, Wanner, Mateychuk, Brenton).   Mirwald spent time with the club last year but did not appear in a game, along with Niven, will make their debut’s this season.

2020 1st round pick Brayden Yager has joined the team for the HUB.  Yager was selected 3rd overall by the Warriors after having 18 goals, 24 assists, and 42 points in 44 games with the Saskatoon Blazers (SMAAAHL) as an underage player.

Heading into the HUB, the Warriors have 15 forwards, eight defencemen, and two goalies.
