With the 50th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2021 CHL Import Draft, the Moose Jaw Warriors selected forward Robert Baco. 

Baco (RW), 6’3”, 210lbs, is from Kosice, Slovakia and played last season in the Czech Republic with Karlovy Vary U20 and had two goals, four assists, and six points in nine games.  He played in six games internationally with Slovakia U18 and had two goals, two assists, and four points in 6 games. 

“We are excited to add a player like Robert to our organization,” commented General Manager Jason Ripplinger.  “He adds size to our lineup, he has a great shot, good hands around the net, and is a strong skater with good speed.” 

Baco is ranked 66th among European Skaters by NHL Central Scouting for next month’s NHL Entry Draft. 

The Moose Jaw Warriors open the 2021 – 2022 WHL regular season on Friday, October 1st when they battle the Saskatoon Blades in their Home Opener.
