The Moose Jaw High School Junior Basketball League hit the court for three games on Wednesday night.

In the lone girls game, the Cornerstone Falcons scored a 42-37 win over the Vanier Spirits. The win improves Cornerstone to 3-0 in the junior varsity league, while Vanier falls to 2-2 in the junior girls league.

Grace Geradts led Cornerstone with 15 points in the win, while Chiamaka Aghamelu chipped in with 12. Vanier’s Kyra Lynch led all scorers with 21 points in the loss.

There was a pair of boys games at Peacock Collegiate.

The Peacock Green Toilers knocked off the Cornerstone/Riverview Royals, 47-36, to improve their record to 2-1 on the year. The Royals fall to 1-2 with the loss.

Rylan Eirich-Watson led the Green Toilers with 17 points in the win, while Devin Baumann added 11. Riley Marshall paced the Royals’ attack with 24 points in the loss.

There was no score reported from the game between the Peacock Orange Toilers and the Central Gold Cyclones.
