Moose Jaw's current leaders are looking to our future leaders for advice after passing a Youth Committee Motion.

Our elected officials are turning to the youth of our community for guidance.

Moose Jaw City Council has unanimously endorsed a motion from Councillor Mary Dell Findlay to form a Youth Advisory Committee as a way to make out community better for developing families.

"From a grade 12 graduating class 80 percent will leave to further their education, to travel, or to just go our and see the world. We encourage them to do this but if we can leave them with a positive attitude about their community they are more apt to return home to settle down."

Findlay says the youth of today are more knowledgeable than any generation before and its time we looked to them for input.
