The Moose Jaw 18U AAA Canucks were able to walk away splitting a doubleheader against the Regina White Sox on Wednesday night at Ross Wells Park.

Game one saw the Canucks jump out to a 6-0 lead. Regina would cut that lead in half with three runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Moose Jaw would add one more run in the bottom of the sixth to pick up the 7-3 win.

Nathan Varjassy and Cole Breitkreuz each went two-for-three at the plate. Varjassy drove in three runs, while Breitkreuz added two RBIs.

Kaleb Waller would get the start on the mound, going 5.1 innings before Kyle Duncan came in to close out the game.

Regina would rebound in game two, picking up a 7-1 win. The White Sox held a 2-1 lead heading into the seventh and final inning before Regina drove in five runs.

The next action for the 18U AAA Canucks is Sunday when they host a doubleheader against the Parkland Expos at Ross Wells Park. Game one gets underway at noon and game two is scheduled for 3 p.m.
