The Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) moved their fall sports to the spring for this year.

This means sports like golf, cross country running, and soccer will be rescheduled from the spring of next year instead fo running in the fall of this year.

All two-semester sports like basketball, volleyball, men's and women's hockey, curling and futsal will start in January.

The ACAC conference council made the decision unanimously.

Athletes won't be losing any eligibility for sports where the nationals have been canceled.

The ACAC release said "This immediately impacts Soccer, Golf and Cross-Country Running student-athletes since the 2020 CCAA Fall season has been cancelled. Further decisions related to the consumption of a year of eligibility in other ACAC/CCAA sports are pending."
