Two provincial curling spiels will be hitting the pebbled ice at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre this weekend.

Moose Jaw’s Lorraine Arguin will attempt to lock-up a spot at the 2018 Saskatchewan Senior Women’s Curling Championship when she takes part in the second qualifying spiel in Moose Jaw.

There’s seven teams in total taking part. The opening draw gets underway at 2:30 p.m. Friday afternoon with Arguin facing off with Saskatoon’s Merle Kopach.Click here for the full draw.

Also this weekend, nine teams will be battling it out for two spots at provincials when they take part in the Men’s Tankard Southern Qualifier.

The first game hit the ice on Thursday night when Estevan’s Wade St. Onge knocked off Regina’s Michael Bryson, 6-3.

The action picks up on Friday morning at 9 a.m. with four games. The ‘A’ final goes on Friday night at 7p.m, while the second qualifying final will be held on Sunday at 5 p.m.
