CJ Vincent is hoping that Sunday's touchdown was the first of many that he’ll score in the end zone at Mosaic Stadium.

The Central Cyclones receiver hauled in a 29-yard touchdown to open the scoring in Team South's 10-7 win over Team North in the 12-man game at the 2019 Football Saskatchewan Senior Bowl.

"It was awesome, that's all I've got to say, it was awesome," said Vincent after the game.

"This is my first time playing here in an actual football game and scoring the first touchdown of the game with all my best friends, it's so awesome."

Vincent will be joining the Regina Rams next season, so he'll have many more opportunities in the future to find the end zone. He showed the Rams that they made a good decision with multiple catches during Sunday's meeting of graduating players in Regina.

"This is phenomenal, I had a great time both weekends that I've been here and to cap it off with a win, it's spectacular," said Vincent.

Moose Jaw was well represented in the game with Cole Coroy and Tony Cushway from the Vanier Vikings and Peacock's Dalton Taylor joining Vincent on Team South.

"This was awesome, I got to play a lot of really good players, I got taught a lot over the weekend and it was just awesome being able to come out and participate," said Coroy, who's still undecided on his football future.

"I played all right, I missed a couple of tackles, but overall my coverage was pretty good."

Cushway had to sit out his entire senior season after transferring from Peacock to Vanier, so he said getting to suit up in this game was a great way to cap off his high school career.

"It was a really great experience being able to play for my school and the South and just be out there playing football again," said Cushway, who just missed on a few passes his way during the game.

"It was good to tie all my high school career together."

Taylor battled along the offensive line throughout the game for Team South. He said it was a great experience playing one more football game before hanging up his cleats.

"It was a lot of fun," said Taylor. "It was really nice having lots of different coaches, everyone teaching you different things and then seeing it all come together for the win… I took a lot away from it."

The South took two-out-of-three games during the annual showdown with the North. Team South won 30-7 in the nine-man game, while Team North took the six-man game, 78-14.
