Moose Jaw Minor Hockey product Rhett Gardner has played two NHL games so far this season as a part of the Dallas Stars taxi squad. 

The 6-3, 225 pound Gardner made the Dallas taxi squad at the beginning of the season. and has stepped in for a pair of wins over the Detroit Red Wings. 

He's had a total of 23 shifts in these games, and has been on the ice for 15 minutes, 25 seconds with one shot on goal and one minor penalty.

Entering this season, Gardner had a total of eight regular-season games, with no points but eight shots on net and one minor penalty.  

The 24-year-old Gardner played four seasons with the University of North Dakota before signing an entry-level deal with the Stars in 2019, three years after they drafted him in the fourth round.
