Weyburn born golfer Graham DeLaet.Graham DeLaet picked right up to start 2014 where he left off in 2013, putting together a stellar second place finish on the weekend at the Farmers Insurance Open from Torrey Pines in San Diego.

The Weyburn golfer entered the weekend at just minus-one, but he was the only golfer to post back-to-back round under-70 on the weekend, shooting a 69 on Saturday and a 68 during Sunday's final round.

The strong weekend performance allowed DeLaet to match his career-best finish from last year's Barclays as he finished tied with four other golfers for second, just one shot behind winner Scott Stallings, who birdied 18 for the win.

DeLaet collected a $366,000 payday to open his 2014 PGA Tour season.  He'll back in action on Thursday at the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
