The Bob Desjarlais rink had a very good weekend at the Moose Jaw Ford Curling Centre as they were able to walk away with the title in the 114th Pioneer Moose Jaw Men's Bonspiel.

After rolling through the start of the weekend, Desjarlais and his rink of third Stan Barnsley, second Barry Silk and lead Chris Hibbin kept it going into the final as they knocked off Ralph Courtnage and his rink, 6-3.

Desjarlais advanced into the final with a 14-3 win over the Watt rink in the semifinal. That came after they were able to dispatch of the two-time defending champion Darren Engel rink with an 8-1 win on Saturday.

The weekend opened with Desjarlais knocking off Murray Stroeder, 8-5.

Stroeder went on to win the B final on Sunday, while Engel captured the C final with a 7-6 win over the Beach rink, and Ryan Wenarchuk won the D final, beating Warren Marcotte, 5-4.
