The Saskatchewan Roughriders season has turned around after two straight wins over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers that got them back to .500 at 5-5.

Despite the recent hot streak, as the team arrived back in Regina on Monday, there was still questions left to be answered and most had to do with the health of two keys players.

Quarterback Darian Durant left Sunday’s Banjo Bowl in the second quarter after coming up limping following a roll out.

Head coach Corey Chamblin says Durant should be good to go for Week 12, “Darian has a hip flexor.  I don’t think he’ll miss any time, we have two days off, so he should be ready to go by Day 1.

“I haven’t heard anything being torn or anything like that, so it’s just a simple strain.

The other injury of concern for the Riders is slotback Weston Dressler, who also didn’t make it out of the win over Winnipeg.  Chamblin wasn’t too worried about his injury either, “He was dinged a little bit, but Weston should be ready to go.”

With ten games in the books for Saskatchewan, the grind of the season and the little injuries that come with are starting to hit the players.  Chamblin says they will start to limit reps in practice for some guys, “A couple of guys may not practice Day 1, the veteran guys, just to make sure we’re fresh when we need to go.”

Chamblin added that he also wants to see more work for third string QB J.T. O’Sullivan in practice, just in case.

The Riders kick off their preparations for a trip to Montreal coming up on Wednesday at Mosaic Stadium.  They take on the 6-4 Alouettes on Sunday at 11:00am.
