The Moose Jaw Youth Flag Football League hosted a weekend filled with football at Elks Field as the 2018 league champions were crowned.

The Saints topped the Cowboys, 18-6, in the 12-13 Division championship game on Sunday afternoon.

"We had a perfect season, never lost a game, this team was the only challenge in the league and they played us tough, but it feels great honestly," said Saints quarterback Tommy Vincent after winning the title.

"This season was so fun, I love playing flag football."

Vincent added that they had to overcome some injuries throughout the season, which brought them together as a team.

"It just shows never give up, you don't just 2-3 players to win a game, you need your whole team, you need to work together to create a good bond with your team," said Vincent.

The 12-13 third place game saw the Redskins roll to a 52-8 win over the Browns on Sunday as well.

Joel Marak with the Redskins said his team put together a great effort to finish the season strong.

"It feels pretty good," he said. "We did good on our interceptions, we did good on our runs, we did good on a lot of things.

"Just playing games all season has been fun."

The high school league championship went to Central 1, who edged Vanier 1, 36-28, in the title game on Sunday.

The 14-15 division finals saw the 49ers score a 33-30 win over the Chiefs, while the Rams topped the Jaguars, 48-40.

In the 10-11 division, the Jaguars beat the Jets, 18-8, and the Eagles rolled to a 40-6 win over the Falcons.
