The Moose Jaw Generals were only able to hit the ice for one of their scheduled games over the weekend.

Moose Jaw lost 6-3 to the Notre Dame Hounds on Saturday, but their big match-up with the Saskatoon Contacts on Sunday was postponed due to the weather that blew through Saskatchewan.

The Generals-Contacts game will be rescheduled for a later date, which as of Monday morning hadn't been announced.

Moose Jaw and Saskatoon are actually scheduled to meet again coming up on Thursday night at Mosaic Place. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

Saturday's game against the Hounds in Wilcox was a tight battle early, but a late goal in the second and an early goal in the third sunk the Generals.

Notre Dame opened with power-play goals from Will Lavigne and Jake Dale, but Moose Jaw answered back as Steven Kesslering and Cody Davis found the back of the net just 3:44 apart to tie the game.

Josselin Dufey would score for the Hounds with 1:57 left in the first period to give them a 3-2 lead.

Notre Dame scored again early in the second as Coalson Wolford gave the Hounds a two-goal lead.

Evan Sare responded for the Generals, scoring on the power play with 8:34 to play in the second, but Drew Englot would pick up a power-play goal for the Hounds with just two seconds remaining in the frame to put them back up by two.

Trey Funk extended the Hounds' lead to three just 57 seconds into the third to seal the win.

Jaxson Taupert allowed six goals on 29 shots, while Reece Hodson came in to finish the game for the Generals, stopping the Hounds' final 16 shots.
