The Notre Dame Hounds scored three third-period goals to win their second straight Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League Championship on Friday night.

Maxwell Joy, Coalson Wolford and Cam Recchi scored for the Hounds in the third as they skated to a 4-1 win over the Saskatoon Blazers in Game 4 of the championship series.

Trey Funk opened the scoring for the Hounds in the first period, but Moose Jaw Warriors prospect Keenan Allan tied the game for the Blazers late in the second period.

Hounds goalie Thomas Wardle made six saves in the third to seal the win. He turned away 18 shots in total.

Wolford and Recchi had a goal and two points to lead the way for Notre Dame.

The Hounds will now travel to Tisdale for the Telus Cup Western Regional Championship, which starts on Thursday. Notre Dame takes on Warriors prospect Calder Anderson and the Brandon Wheat Kings in their opening game, while Warriors prospect Cade Hayes and the host Trojans square off with Thunder Bay on Thursday.
