Howden picked up one assist as Canada rolled to a 9-0 win over the Czech Republic on Wednesday night in London, Ont.

Taylor Raddysh had two goals and four points to lead the way for the Canadians, while Robert Thomas added a goal and three assists.

Everett Silvertips goalie Carter Hart turned away 23 shots for the shutout.

Victoriaville’s Maxime Comtois, Calgary’s Jake Bean, Sault Ste. Marie’s Boris Katchouk, Owen Sound’s Jonah Gadjovich, Cape Breton’s Drake Batherson and Kelowna’s Cal Foote also scored in the win.

Canada had 15 players register a point in the big start to their build towards the start of the tournament next week.

Team Canada will now face-off with Switzerland on Friday in their final pre-tournament game. The World Juniors open on Boxing Day in Buffalo, N.Y. with Canada going up against Finland.
