The Moose Jaw Minor Football League returned to the field on Thursday night at Elks Field with a Pee Wee Division battle between the Ti-Cats and Lions.  The Lions clawed their way to victory with a 28-20 that included 21 second half points.

Michael Hansen got the Ti-Cats on the board first with an 81-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.  Brady Banerjee converted the two-point conversion for an 8-0 lead after one.

The Lions pulled within one point midway through the second quarter with a four-yard TD run by Dalton Hansen that made it 8-7 for the Ti-Cats.  The two teams would trade interceptions at the end of the half with Tim Pohl picking off a pass for the Ti-Cats and Bryce Aubin getting the pick for the Lions.

The Lions exploded in the second half as Dalton Hansen picked up two more touchdowns in the third quarter on runs of 19 and 55 yards.  They would lead 21-14 after three.

In the fourth quarter, the Lions widen their lead with a two-yard TD by Lochkin Winterton.  Jacob Kropf would score a late touchdown for the Ti-Cats, but it wasn't enough as they dropped to 1-1 on the year.  The Lions remain undefeated at 2-0.

Aubin was named the game MVP for the Lions, while Pohl took the honours for the Ti-Cats.

Next Minor Football action is coming up on Friday night with the Bombers facing the Riders in Pee Wee action at 6:30pm and the Falcons taking on the Raiders in the Bantam game at 8:00pm.
