In perhaps one of the only leagues continuing on with game action last night, the Moose Jaw Midget AAA Warriors made a bit of history.

The Warriors defeated the Saskatoon Contacts 5-3 to sweep the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League semifinal. They become the first midget AAA team in the city's history to make it to the final.

Ben Wourms-Rowe scored a pair Thursday night for the Warriors, who led 3-1 after one and 3-2 after two.

With virtually everything else cancelled in Hockey Canada-sanctioned activities across Canada, and with every other league on pause, there's no word on if or when the league final would begin.

Regina defeated Tisdale 4-2 to take a 2-0 series lead there. Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday in Regina.
