The Moose Jaw Warriors have hit the skids over the past few weeks and it continued on Wednesday night when they dropped a 5-2 game to the Notre Dame Argos in the South Saskatchewan Midget AA Hockey League.

Moose Jaw started great in the first period, despite giving up the opening goal to Landon Crier-Wagner just 3:42 into the game.

Austin Miller and Josh Bryant would score two minutes apart near the midway point of the first to give Moose Jaw a 2-1 lead heading into the second period.

The Argos would score four unanswered goals from there though. Kolby Chen scored a power play goal late in the second period to tie the game, and then Brendan Young, Zane Pollon and Hamish Campbell scored in the third for the win.

Notre Dame out shot Moose Jaw, 44-31, including 34-22 over the final two periods.

Garrett Goy made 39 saves in the loss for Moose Jaw, who also went 6-for-10 on the penalty kill and 1-for-5 on the power play.

The loss drops the Warriors' record to 6-6-1 on the year. They return to the ice on Friday in Lumsden against the Lions before they host the Regina Capitals on Saturday at 5:45pm at the Bert Hunt Arena.
