The Moose Jaw Midget AA Mavericks battled the Notre Dame Hounds to a 3-3 tie in the South Saskatchewan Female Hockey League on Tuesday night.

Alex Foreman and Dakota Knox scored in the first period to build up a 2-0 lead, but the Hounds battled back with three second period goals to pull in front by one.

Kaelyn Logan-Pemkowski scored the game-tying goal late in the third period to capture the single-point for the Mavericks.

Moose Jaw goalie Sydney Christmann made 26 saves in the draw, while the Mavericks fired 47 shots on the Hounds’ net.

Logan-Pemkowski had a goal and two points, while Taylor Mantel picked up a pair of assists for the Mavericks.

Moose Jaw sits 5-15-3 on the year. They will return to the ice next Wednesday when they head back to Wilcox to battle the Hounds again.

In other Moose Jaw minor hockey action on Tuesday, the Peewee AA Warriors dropped a 9-2 game to the first place Yorkton Terriers at the Bert Hunt Arena.

The Warriors fall to 5-15-2 in the South Saskatchewan Minor Hockey League. They’re off now until next Friday when they host the Swift Current Broncos.

Coming up on Wednesday, the Bantam AA Warriors are in Swift Current to battle the Broncos at 7:30 p.m. at the Fairview West Arena.
