On Sunday a game was held between the travelling New Zealand International Softball Academy and the local Moose Jaw Ice 14U. Paul Litzenberger, Assistant Coach of the Moose Jaw Ice explained what exactly the team from Down Under and slightly to the right was doing in Moose Jaw.

"There's a group that has this academy, and they get girls from all over New Zealand, they get them together, and it sounded like, talking to the group yesterday, it sounds like they go throughout Western Canada, into the States a little bit, they play, so they go down to, they're in California right now, they're gonna play a couple games down there, and yeah, continue on I think."

The Moose Jaw Ice didn't back down to the challenge, and managed two massive victories, as explained by Litzenberger.

"New Zealand, they were good, they were a good team, they played okay, but our girls, it was one of the best games they played all year. The first game they won 14-0, and the second game they won 14-2,"

Litzenberger went on to say that even with the defeats they suffered, the New Zealand team was far from down.

"The New Zealand teams were positive the whole time, they were cheering the whole time, and then even, after the games, it's easy for a team to kinda come in and mope around and whatever, but they didn't. They introduced themselves to the girls, and our girls did the same, and they all connected so well." said Litzenberger, who went on to explain how the girls traded social medias, and all had a great time playing some good old softball.
