It was a good weekend for Moose Jaw Mustangs box lacrosse teams to provincials over the weekend, as they picked up a pair of silver medals.

In the 12U division, the Mustangs went undefeated in the round robin. They opened the tournament with a 8-3 win over the Regina Raiders before defeating the Regina Hawks 12-0.

The Mustangs would go on to lose to the Saskatoon Rush 9-8 in the gold medal game in a thriller.

Moose Jaw's Vincent Griffith would score with 43 seconds left on the clock in regulation time to force overtime, but it was Saskatoon's Chase Derdall that scored the winner.

Meanwhile, in the 14U division, the Mustangs also walked away with silver medals.

Like their 12U counterparts, the 14U Mustangs were undefeated through the round robin, with a 13-9 win over the Regina Ice and a 9-7 win over the Saskatoon Seals.

In the gold medal game on Sunday, however, the Mustangs would drop a 6-2 decision to the Regina Snipers.
