The Moose Jaw Novice Mustangs 1 kept their perfect record on the year in tact with an 8-5 win over the Swift Current Rampage on Tuesday night.

The win improves the Mustangs 1 to a 6-0-1 on the year in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League.

Brodyn Pladson opened the game with a natural hat trick in the first period for the Mustangs, while Carter Hudyma also registered a hat trick in the win.

Ryder Gilroy also scored in the win for the Mustangs, who are off now until Sunday when they host the Estevan Voltz 1 and 2 for a doubleheader at the Kinsmen Arena.

There's still plenty left to be decided after the top two teams in the South Saskatchewan Lacrosse League's peewee division squared off on Tuesday.

The Moose Jaw Mustangs and Swift Current Rampage Blue battled to a 7-7 tie in Swift Current, keeping one game separating the two teams on top of the standings.

Moose Jaw is 6-1-1 on the year, while the Rampage Blue sit at 5-2-1.

Josh Johnson scored five times in the draw for the Mustangs, while Colton Ebbett chipped in with a pair of goals and Donovan Harkness added an assist.

The Mustangs will return to the court on Sunday when they host the Estevan Voltz at the Kinsmen Arena.
