The Peacock Tornadoes finished off the regular season on a winning note on Tuesday. Peacock knocked off the Weyburn Eagles, 4-1, at Smith Field in the Moose Jaw High School Boys Soccer League.

Nakamara Runezerwa had a pair of goals in the win for Peacock, while Mohammed Kahsay and Logan Findlay scored the other markers for the Tornadoes.

In a pair of girls' games on Tuesday, the Central Cyclones dropped a 4-0 game to the Weyburn Eagles at Sunningdale Field and the Vanier Spirits travelled into Swift Current and fell 4-0 to the Ardens.

The high school soccer league playoffs get underway on Thursday with the quarterfinals, including Central against Peacock in the girls league at 4 p.m. at Sunningdale Field. The semifinals are on Saturday and the league finals will be held on Tuesday.
