Moose Jaw Minor Hockey has hit a bit of a snag as they get set for the upcoming season in the Pee Wee Tier 3 division.

"We're looking for someone to volunteer some time for our Pee Wee coordinator position in the Pee Wee house division," explains Todd Cole, president of Moose Jaw Minor Hockey.  "Basically what we're looking for is someone to step to help with the scheduling and organizing the teams for the year, and also helping set up the hometown tournament for these kids.

Cole says they're looking for anyone who's interested in helping out, "You don't have to have a kid in the division, some times that is preferred, but it doesn't necessarily mean that we need to have a parent who has a kid playing in that division, anyone that can step forward and volunteer their time would be greatly appreciated."

Evaluations for the division are coming up quickly and Cole says they would like to have someone in place by the end of the week if possible, "We've got to get these kids on the ice.  There's a lot of kids that have registered and we don't want to hold them back from getting on the ice with some of their ice times next week, so if someone can step forward this week, we'd gladly take them and get moving forward on the season."

The Minor Hockey season is about to get into high gear here in the coming weeks as Tier 1 evaluations in Atom, Pee Wee, Bantam and Midget have wrapped up and now the Association is moving on to the Tier 2 teams before doing the house leagues.

"We're progressing to the Tier 2 selections throughout the week and then step into the house season, so it's been a busy month, but it's looking like a good season ahead," added Cole.
