While no one is entirely certain if there will be a fastball season this year, the Moose Jaw Minor Girls Fastball League is preparing in case there is.

Softball Saskatchewan has paused play for the forseeable future but in case they are allowed to o ahead, Moose Jaw Minor Girls Fastball is accepting registrations until next Wednesday.

Once the league knows how many players there are, it will be much quicker to get a schedule going, said local president Craig Hemingway.

It's possible to waive fees until people know for sure if there is going to be a season. There is a 'pay later' option for the registration fee on their website.

"We need coaches for all divisions," Hemingway said in a release. "MJMGF has voted to waive the requirement for coaches to complete their Level 1 certification for the 2020 season. However, all coaches must still complete the brief online Respect In Sport certification."

Registration is available on the league’s website.
