Peacock graduate Krystal Shaw ripped up the pool in Lima, Peru this week at the ParaPan-Am Games.

Shaw won three silver medals and one bronze medal.

Shaw's silver medals were in the 50 free, 100 free and the 100 back, while the bronze medal was won in the 4X100 relay

As a teen, Shaw wasn't allowed to swim for seven years after a blood clot formed in her leg. Once that cleared, she was once against cleared to swim.

Shaw was born with Arthrogryposis, which resulted in club feet, a dislocated hip and underdeveloped legs. Doctors thoought she'd never be able to walk.

She took up swimming at age nine and the rest is history.

Her goal is now to swim at the 2020 Paralympic Games in Tokyo.
