Eight local ball teams were in action over the weekend, coming away with six wins as well as a tournament title over the three days.

The Moose Jaw Mudhens put together an incredible run at the White City Minor AA Little League Tournament over the weekend.

The Mudhens went undefeated and scored 58 runs over their four games at the tournament, finishing things off with a dramatic 11-10 win over the White Butte Broncos in the final on Sunday.

In the final, Moose Jaw found themselves down four runs in the top of the first inning, but they didn't go away.

Colton Lacelle threw an immaculate inning in the second inning, striking out all three Broncos batters with just nine pitches. He set down the side in order in the third inning as well, needing just ten pitches.

That sparked the team as they scored six runs in the fourth inning, led by a bases clearing double from Ronan Tonge, who finished 3-for-3 with two doubles in the win.

The Mudhens rolled the rest of the way to take the victory with Tonge picking up the save on the mound as well.

The Moose Jaw Mallards were busy, but successful this weekend as they picked up two wins and a tie in three games on Friday and Saturday in Baseball Regina Bantam AA action.

The Mallards beat the Regina Blue Jays 12-5 on Friday at Swarbrick Diamond.

They followed that up with a 5-5 tie in the first game of a doubleheader against Swift Current on Saturday and then Orin Olson walked off the Mallards for a 6-5 win in the second game against the 57s.

The Mallards host the Regina White Sox on Monday night at 6:15 p.m. at Swarbrick.

The Moose Jaw Prairie Dogs suited up under the lights on Saturday night at Memorial Field and they rolled to an 11-6 win over the Regina Bufflaoes.

The Buffaloes opened with five runs in the first inning, but Moose Jaw answered back with four. Regina added another run in the second and Moose Jaw responded with four of their own again to take an 8-6 lead after two innings.

The Prairie Dogs added some insurance with three runs in the fourth.

Kaison Skeoch led the Prairie Dogs with five RBI in the win, while Owen Csada struck out four over two innings of work on the mound.

Moose Jaw returned to the field on Sunday for a 10-0 win over the Regina Pacers

The two wins improve the Prairie Dogs to 14-1 so far this season in the Baseball Regina's Mosquito AA Division.

They will return to the field this Saturday to host the White Butte Black Broncos. First pitch is at 8 p.m. at Memorial Field.

The Moose Jaw Canucks dropped a 7-3 game to the Regina Pacers on Saturday morning at Ross Wells Park in the Saskatchewan Premier Baseball League's Midget AA Division.

Tysen Jordison threw six innings in the loss for the Canucks, striking out seven and allowing six runs -- three earned -- on three hits and three walks.

Ryan Zerff was 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI out of the lead-off spot, as Moose Jaw was held to just two hits in the loss. They did work six walks, led by two base-on-balls by Taylor Hicke.

 The Canucks are now 6-10-1 as they prepare to hit the road into the Queen City on Monday night to battle the Regina Pacers. First pitch is at 6 p.m.

The Moose Jaw Astros are into the final in the North Regina Little League's Minor AAA Playoffs.

The Astros scored a 13-3 win over the Regina Rays on Saturday to advance into the final.

Marcus Capili hit an inside the park home run and also pitched a perfect top of the fourth inning to seal the win for the Astros.

Moose Jaw will now take the Regina Mariners on Monday in Game 1 of the final. The Astros need to win twice to capture the title in the double elimination playoffs.

The Moose Jaw Red Sox are also through to the final in the North Regina Little League's Junior Division Playoffs.

The Red Sox won 7-5 over the Regina Tigers on Sunday afternoon to advance into the league championship game.

Moose Jaw is now into the league final on Wednesday where they will need to be beaten twice.

The Moose Jaw Rays were eliminated from the playoffs with a 17-9 loss to the Regina Athletics on Saturday.

The Moose Jaw Millers' run in the North Regina Little League's Major AAA Playoffs also came to an end on Saturday as they lost 7-6 to the Regina Cubs.
