Two series are heading to Game 7 and one team is off to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history after Sunday's action in the NHL.

Well start in the Windy City, where the Vancouver Canucks were looking to end the bleeding and stop their season from slipping away against the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Canucks, with star goalie Roberto Luongo on the bench, got off to a good start, scoring just over two minutes into the game, and leading 2-1 after the first.

Dave Bolland tied it for the Hawks in the second period, but Kevin Bieksa restored Vancouver's lead just 58 seconds into the third.  The lead wouldn't last long though as Michael Frolik scored 1:30 later on a penalty shot to tie the game.  Canucks goalie Cory Schneider was injuried on the goal, meaning Luongo was coming in.

Rookie Ben Smith would be the hero for the Hawks in overtime, scoring 15:30 into the extra frame and sending the series back to Vancouver for the deciding Game 7 on Tuesday night.

Philadelphia and Buffalo will be battling in a Game 7 as well after a thrilling overtime game on Sunday at the HSBC Arena.  Ville Leino kept the Flyers season alive, scoring 4:43 into the first overtime.

Game 7 goes on Tuesday in Philly.

The Nashville Predators are headed to the second round for the first time in franchise history after a 4-2 win over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday.

The Predators took the series 4 games to 2 and join Detroit and Washington as the only teams to advance so far.

Pittsburgh and San Jose will both be looking to end their series on Monday night.  The Penguins head into Tampa Bay for Game 6 after falling 8-2 on home-ice to the Lightning in Game 5.  The Sharks will also be looking to bounce back from a Game 5 loss when they take their 3-2 series lead into Los Angeles to take on the Kings.
