The 2012-13 WHL season is about to kick off for the Moose Jaw Warriors.  They're get set to host the Swift Current Broncos on Friday at Mosaic Place for their season opener.

If you're planning on heading to the game, but don't have tickets yet, don't wait because there's only about 800 tickets remaining for the game.

"As everyone knows we get a lot of walk ups the day before and the day of the game, so I wouldn't encourage anyone to wait until that last minute to get their ticket," says Corey Nyhagen, director of business operations for the Warriors.  "This is one of those games that everyone is excited for, they want to see the new team, the young team."

As for season tickets, Nyhagen says they are flying out the door again heading into the new season, "Again the Warriors, and the fan support that we've had, have set another record for the club when it comes to season tickets."

According to Nyhagen a special announcement about just how well season tickets have been will be coming later in the week.

The team put on a spectacular show last year to open Mosaic Place, but Nyhagen says they're hoping to top that this year, "We're going to have pre-game presentation, we'll introduce the players one-by-one, there will be a bit of a light show and some cool giveaways at the door, so we encourage everybody to get there early.  You probably want to be in your seat for warm up.

"Robbie (Snooks, Warriors director of video services) has done an excellent job getting the videos ready for this year and the whole staff have really put in a lot of work to put this game on."

Nyhagen adds that there will be a couple of other special things happening during the home opener, "The Hall of Fame is going to be hanging on the north wall and we're going to be unveiling the East Division Championship banner as well."

The home opener also marks the "Rise of Planet Red" with all fans encouraged to wear red to the game, and throughout the season.
