The Moose Jaw White Mustangs booked their ticket into the Queen City Box Lacrosse League championship final with a win on Monday night.

The White Mustangs knocked off the Regina Snipers 5-2 at the Al Ritchie Arena and will now play the Regina Rush for gold on Tuesday.

Caelan Fitzpatrick had two goals and three points to lead the way for the White Mustangs offensively, while Bryden Bell added two goals as well. Mikkel Hrechka had the other goal in the win, while Ethan Peters added two assists.

The Snipers opened the scoring with just 16 seconds left in the first period and the score stayed that way until the third period when the White Mustangs took control with five goals in the frame.

The White Mustangs will now square off with the Rush in the final at the Al Ritchie on Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. The Red Mustangs will also be on the court on Tuesday when they take on the Snipers in the bronze medal game at 7 p.m.

In the Novice Division, the Moose Jaw Mustangs won 9-1 over the Regina Outlaws in the semifinal on Monday night. They will meet the Snipers for gold on Wednesday night.
