It's not a red carpet affair like down in Hollywood, but the people that make Moose Jaw a better place to live and work will be honoured for their efforts on Thursday as the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce presents the Citizen and Group of the Year Awards.

Volunteering, organizing or supporting the community in many different ways has resulted in eleven residents being nominated for citizen of the year with nine nominees for group of the year.

The luncheon will also feature Mayor Fraser Tolmie and his annual “State of the City” address along with the Heritage Awards.
