The Moose Jaw Coop is doing their part to help residents donate to the recently announced Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce program, The Big Give.

The program will see the Chamber try to raise $20,000 through donations in the month of March, which will be used to buy pre-packaged frozen meals from local restaurants, which will then be donated to the Moose Jaw Food Bank and Hunger in Moose Jaw.

If you want to donate, you're asked to contact the Chamber of Commerce via email or phone, or you can donate directly at any Coop food store and gas bar location in town.

Michaela Turner, Marketing and Community Relations Manager with Moose Jaw Coop.

"We're kind of just doing our part to make it easy for the people of Moose Jaw to get out and donate. You can call the Chamber as well, but if you're out and about, it just makes it easier to pop into any of our locations to make that donation."

"We're always looking to partner, whether it's with non-profit groups in support of them or our business partners in town. We know the restaurant industry has been hit really hard in the last year."

Nine restaurants are involved so far, but the Chamber says they are hoping to get up to 25.
