The waterslide at the Kinsmen Sportsplex will be getting a new name.

Moose Jaw city council approved a naming rights agreement with Winmar Moose Jaw for the indoor pool’s waterslide.

The agreement is worth $11,100 over three years, or $3,700 per year, and will also include Winmar advertising signage at the Phyllis Dewar outdoor pool and the off-leash dog park.

“Winmar has been a good partner in the past. They support our toddler turf program, an annual value of about $2,000 a year,” said Director of Parks and Recreation Derek Blais.

A ceremony will be taking place in the coming days to announce the new name with Winmar’s mascot “Willy Winmar” in attendance.
