Another extreme cold warning has been issued for Moose Jaw and the surrounding area by Environment and Climate Change Canada.

An artic ridge is moving into the province Tuesday night which will bring chilling temperatures for most of Saskatchewan. The wind chill will make the temperatures feel like minus 40. There will be some light winds of 10-20 km/h.

In weather this cold, frostbite can occur in minutes to exposed skin. It also means that it is likely too cold for any pets to remain outside for extended amounts of time.

If you're traveling during the cold sprint, it's a good idea to have an emergency kit in your car if you become stranded or stuck. Tools like a shovel, a phone charger, a blanket, flashlight, jumper cables, etc. are good to keep in your car throughout the winter season.

The extreme cold warning is continuing into Wednesday and throughout Wednesday night as it will feel like minus 50.
