An early reminder to be safe on the roads this long weekend with a couple of crashes on the Trans-Canada near Moose Jaw on Friday morning.
The first happened around 9:30am on the service road east of the city. A cement truck rolled while trying to turn on to the Trans-Canada. The 22 year old male driver from Moose Jaw received minor injuries.
The severely damaged truck had to be up righted with a crane. The crash is under investigation, but charges are not expected.
The second one happened just before 11am and saw a truck pulling a trailer westbound on the Trans-Canada spin out on the highway after a wind gust pushed the trailer. There was no damage to the truck, but the trailer was destroyed.
There were no injuries.
