Our Mom Geraldine Duncan lost her battle with cancer on July 30, 2012, she was born September 9, 1931, the eldest of eleven children. Mom learned at an early age to be a hard and dedicated worker, helping with the other children. She left home and went to work for her Aunt Bernice and Uncle Ralph Austin and it was there that she met our Dad Gordon in October 1949. They raised four children, David, Patricia, Brenda and Leanne. Her whole life was spent on the farm working alongside our Dad, picking stones, driving truck, hauling grain and bales, chasing cattle, gardening, keeping house and raising us children. Mom also helped out at fall suppers at Parkbeg United Church, sang at weddings and also recorded the song “Anne Belle”. Mom was predeceased by her parents Rosamond and Ernest Dann, five brothers and sisters: Alvin, Alfred, Kenny, Audrey and Marjorie; brothers-in-law Elwin Schneikart, and David Duncan Sr.; and sister-in-law Margaret Drysdale. She is survived by her husband of nearly 63 years Gordon, son David (Mona) children: Scott (Shannon), Melanie, Nicole (Mike) Weber; daughters Patricia (Les) Ashton; Brenda (Roland) Michel: children Nathan (Cortnie), Jaylee; Leanne (Earl) Coward: children Zach (Baillie) and Colton; six great-grandchildren, Maren and Brigit Duncan; Kirsten Mytroen; Jacob and Brady Weber and Abi Michel; two brothers Bob (Mary) Dann, and Darcy (Sheila) Dann; three sisters Linda Schneikart; Ruth (Cy) Monsees and Helen (George) Andrews; brothers-in-law Bob Whitehead, and Bruce (Leona) Duncan; sisters-in-law Helen (Emil) Glass and Mary Duncan. There are also three very special aunts, Bernice Austin, Ruth McIntyre and Violet Sapergia. A private family service will be held. Geri will be laid to rest at Sunset Cemetery. Memorials to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Diabetes Association, or to a charity of choice would be appreciated. In living memory of Geri, a memorial planting will be made by W. J.
