Hundreds lined up in Moose Jaw for their flu shots Tuesday as we prepare for winter on the prairies. That means the flu season is on its way.

They lined up for their flu shots Tuesday at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital as flu season approaches here in Saskatchewan.

Local health care workers were a busy bunch as they took time to be immunized as influenza season approaches. Among those getting the vaccine was the Chair of the Five Hills Health Region Board, Dale Toni. "One of the theories is that if folks are getting their flu shots on an annual basis they improve their ability to fight all types of bacteria and bugs and if we do get a big pandemic this might be one of the methods that will be beneficial."

Flu shots are now available in your community. To book an appointment or for more information, you can contact Public Health or your family Doctor.
