Born to Be Arts Academy is excited to announce their showing of Disney's Peter Pan Jr. at the Mae Wilson Theatre this weekend.

“Peter Pan is an adventure about a little boy who never wants to grow up,” explains Musical Director, Abigail Miller. “He meets a girl called Wendy, and because he loves to hear her mom tell her bedtime stories, he takes her and her two little brothers on an adventure in Never Never Land where they meet the Lost Boys, the Brave Girls, and of course, the dreaded Captain Hook.”

The first show is on Friday, March 3, at 7 pm, followed by a 2 pm matinee and a 7 pm evening show on Saturday, March 4.

Tickets are available online at moosejawculture.ca or in person at the Mae Wilson Box Office.

“We will have some flower crowns available,” Miller adds. “Traditionally, the Brave Girls are indigenous, and we decided that we were going to have some Celtic Fairy Elves instead, because of cultural sensitivity. We just really wanted to make sure we weren’t perpetuating any negative stereotypes.”

Cookies will be provided by Taste Patisserie by Katrina, as well.
