Our news reporter straps in for the ride of his life and comes back safe, although a little green thanks to the great staff at 15 Wing Moose Jaw.

We see them in flight just about everyday in the skies above Moose Jaw but it's not very often that our own Lee Davis is a part of the action.

After completing medical checks and safety training Lee flew in a formation training flight involving two CT-156 Harvard II Air Crafts Thursday.

Before tackling the Harvard Lee met with Mario Deshaies, the Egress Instructor at 15-Wing. He shows pilots how to get in and out of the aircraft and how to eject in case of an emergency. Mario gave Lee the same training pilots go through. "It is basic training and the only thing we can do is give you an idea of what's going to happen and the basic action that you need to do for yourself in case of an emergency."

NFTC Flight Instructor Hughes Samson took Lee up in the Harvard II and was pleased with the way he handled the flight. "We did some basic formation maneuvers and everything was alright. The thing that he liked the most was the simulated emergency. He didn't know about it so I caught him with a bit of surprise. He did pretty good but I think at that point he turned a little bit green."

You can see the Harvard II air crafts on display at 15-Wing's Armed Forces Day coming up Saturday, July 7th. The event will be free and open to the public.
