The local Foodbank is continuing its search for a new facility to accommodate their operations.

Jason Moore, program development manager from the Moose Jaw and District Foodbank explains what they need in a new building.

"We need about 5,000 square feet, the majority of that would need be to warehouse space. We also need something with a fairly large lobby. With COVID, and who knows what the new year will bring, we need to be able to safely hand out our hampers to our clients."

"If anyone in Moose Jaw hears of a great location that's somewhere located in the downtown area, we are still desperately looking for a new facility."

Over the summer, the food bank held a fundraiser looking for $100,000 to help them with the move. They were able to exceed their goal by $18,000 but still have not found a suitable building to move into.

"I cannot believe how well this community has come together to support the food bank." says Moore, "We just get to see how Moose Jaw continues over and over and over to bless people that are in need. What a great community to call home."
