A Regina based company has just bought 14 acres of land for 1.8 million dollars with the intent to make Thatcher Driver even more appealing to future business.

The ever growing and developing area of Moose Jaw known as Thatcher Drive east is about to get a bit more crowded.

Century West Development led by President Milt Walker has now been approved to buy 14 acres of land on Thatcher Drive for 1.8 million dollars. "This is a very attractive piece of property and when a piece of property that is this attractive becomes available it beckons us. We believe we have the expertise to put this together so it’s more of a case of a very good piece of property."

The plan is to bring in a home building centre, a financial institute, a gas bar, a hotel and some commercial retail units. Construction is expected to begin this summer.
