The 19th annual Moose Jaw Chamber of Commerce MJBEX awards are coming up quick, as plans are being finalized for the award gala that will take place April 8 at the Heritage Inn. Before they can hold the awards, however, they need nominations, which is where you come in. Moose Jaw Chamber of Commerce CEO, Rob Clark, says that if you have a business in mind you'd like to nominate, here’s how you can do it.

“We’re actually hoping that residents go online to the Chamber website, there’s an application form there. You can also just call the Chamber and let us know who you’re nominating and in what category. We have 12 awards needing nominees. If you go to our website you’ll see them there, along with the criteria, and application and submission form. We’re going to have some prizes too for whoever puts in the best submission, and we’ll make a draw for that.”

There are lots of room for nominees as well. Clark says that on average they get about 80-90 nominations per year, and they whittle that number down to 60 or 65. They hope to have about 5 in each category.

“There are some outstanding businesses in Moose Jaw and area and its important that we recognize them. Some of the contributions they’ve done, they’re always helping out in the community, and people love to be recognized.”

Below is each category that the Chamber of Commerce is looking for nominations for.
